Special Preview Night
Demand for tickets to this amazing event have outstripped availability so much that we have organised a special Preview Night which takes place on Wednesday 22 October. Some tickets for this event may still be available. Click Here for more information.

A gala night with a difference, a chance to mix and mingle with Cumbria's A-list celebrities and dance with the stars!

Strictly Dine and Dance is a new Fundraising Event we have devised based on the very popular TV series, "Strictly Come Dancing"

The evening starts with a Champagne reception followed by a magnificent six course gala dinner followed by a very special unique dancing competition to select our
Dine and Dance Champions.

You will be the Judge

Each of our ten couples will perform a dance they have practiced and then our panel of judges will comment on their performance. After everyone has danced the judges will retire and pick five finalists to compete for the title, Strictly Dine & Dance Champions. Each of these five couples will once again dance and then those attending the event will vote for their favourite couple.

Dance the night away

Following the competition you will be able to join our celebrity couples on the floor and dance the night away - well until about 1.00am anyway!

The Cost

We are pleased to offer places at this function for only £39.50 per place with corporate tables of 10 (£395) and 12 (£475) available. The price includes some special souvenir items for the table guests.

We also have a special Platinum Package available for corporate supporters which includes the addition of four bottles of wine (two white and two red) plus two bottles of Champagne for the table.

The Platinum Package price is £600 for a table of 10 and £720 for a table of twelve.

Why support this event

Aside from the amazing and fun night we have planned, Strictly Dine & Dance will raise vital funds for Eden Valley Hospice. The Hospice cares for patients, both adult and children, from the Cumbria area with life-limiting illnesses including cancer, and other conditions such as motor neurone disease, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis.

We strive to provide the highest standards of nursing and medical care, to sustain quality of life and dignity and to provide patients with relief from pain. To the families, friends and carers of our patients we extend the same loving support, help and counselling, as such illnesses affect whole families.

The Hospice helps its patients enjoy a better quality of life, often enabling them to do things which they thought had gone forever. It is not just a place where people go to die: many benefit from day hospice care and others return home following a period as an in-patient or attend our out-patients clinics.

But, this has an inevitable cost, we face the challenge of raising around £2million a year to operate, about 20% of this is provided by the NHS leaving us a shortfall of around £1.6million to be found from the continuing generosity of the local communities.

Special Preview Night

As a taster for the Friday night we have organised a special Preview of the event  which will take place on Wednesday 22 October two days before the main event.

This is a chance to see all the dancers in action and judge for yourself who you think will win the Strictly Dine and Dance trophy. After months of preparation and rehearsal this will be the first time the dancers will perform in public and you can see ahead of the event just how good they are.

The Preview night comprises a sparkling reception followed by a sumptuous four course dinner before the dancers take to the floor. You will have the opportunity to see all ten contestants and their partners perform the routine they will do on the Friday. You will even hear some comments from some of our Judges about how their performance measures up for the Friday competition.

After all this you will be able to take to the floor yourself and demonstrate your skills as a dancer.

The event starts at 7.00pm and tickets are available for only £32.50 per person. We expect demand for these to be quite high so don't wait too long if you would like o join the fun.  For more information and to reserve your tickets please telephone 01228 817617.
