Welcome to our 2010
Penrith Midnight
Walk
This is the third year
we have offered this fun walk as a way to support the work of
the Hospice and have a fun night out at the same time. This year we would love to
attract 1,000 ladies to take part
Last year's event was amazing
and it did not even rain - which was something of a first! and
we raised almost £40,000 towards the work of thehospcie and was
a great help in very difficult times.
NEW ROUTE
FOR 2010
The Penrith walk is a smaller
event than our Carlisle walk but the principle is the same and
will
start on the stroke of midnight on
Friday 3 September and
takes the form of a sponsored walk of less than 5 miles (7.5K) round
the streets of Penrith to raise funds for the work of Eden
Valley Hospice.

 Whether you want to walk to remember a loved one, get fit, have
a great night out with friends or colleagues, meet new friends
amongst the many women who'll be joining you, or just support
the vital work of Eden Valley Hospice, we need you to sign up
now!

| Fancy Dress |
|
Last year many of the ladies did the walk in
fancy dress, nurses in nighties, ladies in leotards, incredible
hulks, bees, pink ladies and even fairies and of course some
sweeties too!.
Why not add to the fun of the occasion and come in fancy
dress, we have a prize for the best costume.

| Walk with Friends |
|
 Entry is only £10.00 per walker and every walker will receive
one of our exclusive Hospice Tee-Shirts, a Glow stick and refreshment
pack for the
walk. Plus a special certificate for every lady
who completes the walk.it is a great night out for you and
all your friends. We have had teams made up of Hen parties,
birthday parties, office outings or just good friends
talking part together so there is no excuse for not joining
the fun.

| Dog Friendly |
 Quite a few of our walkers last year
had more than two legs and enjoyed the walk along with their
owners.Dogs are very welcome. Make sure all dogs have a
lady
chaperone for the walk and are kept on a lead at all times and
don't forget to scoop that poop should nature call. (
Portaloos are for ladies only!)

| Sponsored Event |
 The Midnight Walk is a chance for ladies to raise vital funds
for the hospice through sponsorship and we ask each walker to
raise as much as they can to support our care for people with
terminal or life-limiting illnesses. As part of this sponsorship
we ask that you pay £10 in advance sponsorship as a registration
fee to take part and then the balance of your sponsorship as
soon after the event as possible. When you register we
will send you a registration pack with all you need to get your
fundraising in-step with your walking.

Your Registration Pack |
 Once you register to take part we will send you our special
Midnight Walk registration pack, within this pack you will
receive more details of the walk, a sponsorship form, some
sponsorship hints and tips, your walk number, a training
schedule for your walk and an exclusive Midnight Walk Tee-shirt
that you can customise if you wish. (New Tee-Shirt design and
colour for 2010)

| To add to the fun of the night
we are delighted to announce that "Stevie Las Vegas"
will be entertaining the ladies prior to the walk and will
have you dancing in the dark as we prepare for this years
main event. |
