Christmas is a traditional time of celebration, a time of sharing, a time to reflect with friends and relatives.

Light up a Life, is your chance to dedicate a light on one of our special trees as a special memorial to your someone special.

This could be in memory of a loved one, a friend or work colleague, or to celebrate one of those special moments in your life.

Your chosen tree will bear a light dedicated to your special someone and will remain illuminated over the Christmas period.

Last year's Light up a Life campaign raised almost £58,000 for the work of the Hospice, it is one of the largest annual fundraising initiatives organised by the Hospice and the funds raised a huge help to our challenge of raising almost £1.8Million to fund our work. As a result of this over 3,000 people sponsored over 5,000 lights on the various Hospice trees during last year's festive season. We are very appreciative of every donation and mindful of the reasons why most people dedicated a light.

We will send you a Light up a Life Christmas Card acknowledging your support and we will also send this information to the News and Star who are printing a special supplement in December

We will be publishing an updated list of everyone who has a light sponsored once the campaign is underway this year.
